On the morning of August 20, 2024, the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) and Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) successfully launched the summer course program on "artificial intelligence training camp" at the MUST.
In this program, Prof. Jie Yang, Party Secretary of the School of Artificial Intelligence of BUPT, Prof. Jianqing Li, Assistant Director of the School of Computer Science and Engineering of MUST, as well as the professors and students from BUPT and MUST, all participated in the launching ceremony for interaction.
At the launching ceremony, Prof. Jianqing Li first expressed a warm welcome to all the professors and students of BUPT attending the training camp on behalf of MUST. Prof. Li introduced the history of MUST and the overview of the curriculum and majors of the School of Computer Science and Engineering and looked forward to a collaborative and impressive learning experience for each other over the coming days.
Prof. Jie Yang expressed a sincere appreciation for the cooperation and full support provided by the MUST. Then, she introduced the background of BUPT and the School of Artificial Intelligence and outlined the objectives, main content, and specific requirements of the summer course program. Prof. Yang encouraged students to take advantage of this learning opportunity, approach it with enthusiasm, and work hard to acquire the fundamentals and practical skills of artificial intelligence.
Following the launching ceremony, Prof. Yuanyuan Qiao from BUPT delivered the first lecture titled "The History, Present and Future of Artificial Intelligence Technology," warmly well-received by the students.
"AI" brings us together, and "AI" creates the future. We believe this summer course program will achieve great success with mutual efforts, showcasing the collaborative spirit of cross-regional students from Beijing and Macau.
