Educational Objectives

The objectives are as follows:

  1. Graduates will be cultivated into successful leaders in the field of environmental science and engineering or related fields.

  2. Graduates will pursue graduate degrees in the field of environmental science and engineering or related fields.

  3. Graduates, with their social impacts, will be an effective promoter of environmental protection and technological issues, and become responsible and ethical professionals.

  4. Graduates will be lifelong learners and are always ready to face future challenges.


Educational Outcomes

Upon graduation, the graduates should be able to:

  1. Apply fundamental knowledge and principles of environmental chemistry, environmental science, environmental engineering and other interdisciplinary theories in designing and implementing solutions of environmental science and engineering problems and to show a clear understanding of environmental problem-solving approaches and practical skills.

  2. Use advanced environmental science and engineering technologies and tools comprehensively to conduct environmental monitoring, analysis, evaluation, and planning etc.

  3. Possess an awareness of environmental protection, safe production, clean production and sustainable development.

  4. Collaborate as team members towards achieving a common goal.

  5. Understand and execute specialty, moral, legal, social, safety issues and responsibilities.

  6. Analyze the local and global impact of developments in the field of environmental science and engineering on individuals, organisations, and society.

  7. Write effectively.

  8. Possess effective communication skills.

  9. Recognise the necessity of continuous professional development and have the capability to put it into practice.


The new programs are planned to be launched in the 2024/2025 academic year, and to be registered with Education and Youth Development Bureau and published in the "Macao Special Administrative Region Official Gazette".
