On the morning of August 19, 2025, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) "Artificial Intelligence Training Camp" - Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) Summer Course Program was successfully inaugurated at MUST. This training camp brings over 50 undergraduate students from both BUPT and MUST, aiming to foster academic exchange and collaboration between the two universities while exploring cutting-edge knowledge in artificial intelligence.
The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Yang Jie, Party Secretary of the School of Artificial Intelligence at BUPT, Prof. Li Jianqing, Assistant Director of the Faculty of Innovation Engineering - School of Computer Science and Engineering at MUST, as well as all instructors and students participating in the training camp.
During the ceremony, Prof. Jianqing Li extended a warm welcome to all participants on behalf of MUST and provided an overview of MUST and School of Computer Science and Engineering. He emphasized that the joint participation of students from both universities in this training camp would facilitate mutual learning and progress, expressing high expectations for the collaborative learning experience in the days ahead.
Prof. Yang Jie expressed heartfelt gratitude for MUST’s support and introduced the background of BUPT and School of Artificial Intelligence, along with the objectives, core content, and specific requirements of the summer course program. She encouraged students to seize this learning opportunity, engage with enthusiasm, and diligently acquire foundational knowledge and practical skills in artificial intelligence.
Following the opening ceremony, Associate Prof. Li Si from BUPT delivered the first lecture, titled "The Evolution, Current State, and Future of Artificial Intelligence Technology," which was warmly received by the students.
"AI" brings us together, "AI" creates the future. With the joint efforts of both universities, this summer course program is poised to achieve great success, enabling students to gain substantial knowledge in artificial intelligence while further strengthening ties between BUPT and MUST, showcasing the collaborative spirit of students from Beijing and Macao.
