A delegation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University visited Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) in the morning of August 14, 2025, aimed to deepen knowledge exchange and experience sharing among young students. The delegation was warmly received by Professor Li Jianqing, Assistant Director of School of Computer Science and Engineering of Faculty of Innovation Engineering at MUST, and Associate Professor Liang Zhiyao.
The Shanghai Jiao Tong University delegation was led by Ms. Zhang Biling, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee; Mr. Yu Zuqing, cadre of the Communist Youth League Committee, and Mr. Tan Tao, ideological and political education teacher from the School of Integrated Circuits, accompanied by 46 student representatives. The delegation first toured the MUST History and Achievements Exhibition Hall, where they gained an in-depth understanding of the university’s founding history, recent developments, and future vision through valuable textual and visual materials, physical exhibits, and multimedia presentations.

During the subsequent academic exchange session, Associate Professor Liang Zhiyao from the School of Computer Science and Engineering delivered a special lecture titled “Principles of Model Checking.” He provided a systematic explanation of the theoretical foundations, technical applications, and cutting-edge developments of model checking, offering an accessible yet profound academic sharing for the attendees. Assistant Director Li Jianqing gave a detailed introduction to the Faculty of Innovation Engineering positioning, faculty team, curriculum system, and research platform construction.

During the exchange session, both universities discussed topics such as academic research and talent cultivation. At the conclusion of the event, both parties summarized the exchange, expressing that the mutual visit had established a strong communication bridge between the two universities. They look forward to further expanding cooperation in areas such as student interaction in the future, jointly promoting innovative development in higher education across the two regions.
