On August 6, 2024, the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) and Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) launched the 2024 summer school on "cyber security" at the MUST. The summer school is part of the 2024 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao university exchange program, which is sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education. In this program, professors and students from BUPT and MUST visit each other, with the aim to further promote academic collaboration, broaden students’ international vision, and contribute to the national scientific development progress.
At the launching ceremony, Prof. Jianqing Li, Assistant Director of the School of Computer Science and Engineering of MUST, first expressed a warm welcome to all professors and students of BUPT on behalf of MUST. Prof. Li introduced in detail the founding history of MUST and the overview of the curriculum and majors of the Faculty of Innovation Engineering, especially the core research directions and key research topics of the school. He emphasized that this summer school include both scientific and cultural exchange, and hope BUPT visitors can experience of Macao's local customs and promoting the development of academic innovation between the two regions.
Prof. Jie Zhang, Executive Dean of the School of Integrated Circuits of BUPT, expressed his appreciation to the teachers and students of MUST on behalf of BUPT, encouraged students to actively participate in various academic activities, and follow the regulations in Macao. Associate Prof. Wei Wang, from the School of Electronic Engineering of BUPT, introduced the schedule of this program and the requirements for completing the exchange tasks.
Cross-regional academic exchanges will not only promote the overall development of students from both universities, but will also contribute to the "cyber security" field.
