On 25 August 2026, a delegation from the Faculty of Innovation Engineering (FIE) of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) — led by Dean Sun Qiao, Vice Dean Li Xiaodong, Program Director Li Xianfeng of the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE), Assistant Professor Zhao Rui, and Assistant Professor Sun Chuan of the Department of Engineering Science (DES) — visited Songshan Lake, Dongguan. The delegation visited the XbotPark Robotics Base and the Googoltech Park, holding exchanges and discussions on topics such as robotics and intelligent manufacturing, university–enterprise collaboration models, disciplinary development, and teaching enhancement.
In the morning, the delegation first visited the XbotPark Robotics Base, learning about the base’s footprint in innovation and entrepreneurship incubation and in the fields of robotics and intelligent hardware, as well as its full-chain ecosystem spanning from technology R&D to industrial deployment. Mr. Lü Shu, Director and Deputy General Manager of Googol Technology Co., Ltd. (Googoltech), and Mr. Yan Bin, Training Manager of Googoltech MakerWorks, accompanied the tour and introduced the relevant operations.

In the afternoon, the delegation proceeded to the Googoltech Park, they visited the park’s exhibition hall, engineering center, and MakerWorks, learning about the park’s achievements in intelligent equipment, motion control, and industry–academia–research platforms. The delegation was received by Mr. Lü Shu, Director and Deputy General Manager of Googoltech; Mr. Wu Ziyue, Dean of Googoltech MakerWorks (formerly a professor at the School of Mechatronics Engineering, Henan University of Science and Technology); and Mr. Yan Bin, Training Manager of Googoltech MakerWorks, who introduced the park’s development.

During the discussion session, the two sides held in-depth exchanges centered on two main themes: university–enterprise collaboration models, and disciplinary development and teaching enhancement. Drawing on MUST’s distinctive educational philosophy and locational advantages, Dean Sun Qiao presented the FIE’s progress in disciplinary planning, talent cultivation, and research innovation, and expressed the Faculty’s willingness to deepen engagement with Googoltech’s innovation ecosystem. The two sides exchanged views on future cooperation in areas such as student internship and practice, joint research projects, graduation design, and the translation of industry–academia–research achievements, and reached a preliminary consensus on establishing a regular communication mechanism.

This visit further strengthened the ties between FIE and Googoltech, laying a solid foundation for practical cooperation in areas such as university–enterprise collaboration, talent cultivation, and the translation of scientific and technological achievements. Moving forward, the two sides will continue to implement and deepen their cooperation mechanism, jointly contributing to innovation, technology, and high-quality development in the Greater Bay Area.
