SCSE Delegation Visits YGSOFT Inc.

On June 26, 2026, a delegation from the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) of Faculty of Innovation Engineering at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) visited YGSOFT Inc. The two sides held discussions and exchanges on topics including university-enterprise scientific research cooperation, joint laboratory construction, joint talent cultivation, student internships and employment, and knowledge transfer.

The delegation, led by Prof. Cai Zhanchuan, Director of SCSE, along with Prof. Li Jianqing, Assistant Director of SCSE; Prof. Zhang Tao, Prof. Huang Rubing, Assistant Prof. Ren Xiaolei, Assistant Prof. Xie Xuan, and PhD students Chen Fengmiao, Nie Peng, and Li Jiahui, was warmly received by Xiang Wanhong, YGSOFT Inc.’s Director, Senior Vice President, Chairman of the Union, Chief Architect, and President of Yuanguang Research Institute; Yuan Xiuhua, Vice President and Board Secretary; Lu Xiaomin, General Manager of the Science and Technology Digitalization Department (Security Supervision Department); Lu Jing, Vice President of the Research Institute; Wu Shihong, General Manager of the Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Business Division and Algorithm Model Department; and Shang Jianrui, Personnel Manager of the Organization Department (Human Resources Department).

During the meeting, representatives from YGSOFT Inc. first expressed a warm welcome to the delegation. They provided a detailed introduction to the company’s development history, core business layout, key R&D projects, and existing university-enterprise cooperation achievements. It was noted that YGSOFT Inc. has long focused on the energy and power digitalization sector, with sustained deep research and development in cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, digital twins, and enterprise-level software platforms, establishing a comprehensive technological innovation system. The company also presented several open research topics, including enterprise-level general intelligence, AI-native digital architectures, multi-agent collaboration, power grid digital twins, and penetrating regulatory intelligent dynamic analysis, providing clear research directions for joint university-enterprise projects.

During the talks, Director Cai Zhanchuan introduced the SCSE’s disciplinary layout, key research directions, talent cultivation model, and university-enterprise cooperation framework. He stated that SCSE has always adhered to industry-driven, high-level scientific research and the cultivation of interdisciplinary technical talents. He expressed the hope to further cooperation with YGSOFT Inc., bridge the gap between cutting-edge theoretical research in universities and real-world industrial application scenarios in enterprises, and achieve mutual empowerment between industry, academia, and research.

Both sides reviewed their long-standing and stable foundation of industry-academia-research cooperation. Since signing the cooperation agreement in 2014 and jointly establishing the Artificial Intelligence Joint Laboratory in 2016, the university and enterprise have successfully carried out multiple collaborations in joint research projects, commercialization of frontier technologies, and innovation output, achieving remarkable results. All participants agreed that MUST possesses strong scientific research capabilities and a mature talent cultivation system in fields such as computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence, and big data. Meanwhile, YGSOFT Inc. holds rich industry scenarios in energy and power digitalization as well as a mature enterprise platform. The complementary advantages of both sides are prominent, offering broad potential for further comprehensive cooperation.

Discussion and exchange between both parties

This visit to YGSOFT Inc. represents a practical docking for deeper industry-academia-research collaboration between Zhuhai and Macao, while also establishing a clear direction for the next phase of all-round synergistic development between the two parties. Building on years of accumulated cooperation, both sides will continue to strengthen the transformation channel between cutting-edge university research and energy-power industry application scenarios. With joint laboratories, talent cultivation, and major research projects as key focuses, they will deepen the application of frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence, digital twins, and blockchain. Leveraging the regional advantages of Zhuhai and Macao, they will pool sci-tech innovation forces to jointly explore new paradigms of industry-academia-research integrated innovation and contribute to the high-quality development of the digital energy industry.
