A delegation led by Mr. Fong Hok Shing, Director of the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD), visited the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) on February 26, 2026. The delegation was warmly received by Chair Prof. Jian-Kang Zhu, Vice Chancellor and President; Chair Prof. Joseph Hun-wei Lee, Chairman of the University Advisory Committee, Director of Key Laboratory of River Basin Digital Twinning of Ministry of Water Resources and Chief Scientist; Dr. Tong Ka Lok and Chair Prof. Jiang Zhi Hong, Vice Presidents; Prof. Sun Qiao, Dean of the Faculty of Innovation Engineering; Prof. Ma Yi Bing, Director of the National Observation and Research Station of Coastal Ecological Environments in Macao and Head of the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering; Prof. Cai Zhan Chuan, Director of the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Faculty of Innovation Engineering, and Associate Professor Lin Cheng.
During the meeting, President Jian-Kang Zhu first extended a warm welcome to Director Fong Hok Shing and the delegation, and provided a detailed introduction to MUST’s overall development, achievements in research platform construction, and directions in talent cultivation. Director Fong Hok Shing also introduced various aspects of work and development directions of the Civil Engineering and Development Department. Through this visit, both sides expressed hope for continued exchanges in the future and exploration of more substantive cooperation possibilities.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the University History and Achievements Exhibition Hall, the State Key Laboratory of Mechanism and Quality of Chinese Medicine, the State Key Laboratory of Lunar and Planetary Sciences, the National Observation and Research Station of Coastal Ecological Environments in Macao, and the Key Laboratory of River Basin Digital Twinning of Ministry of Water Resources.
