Delegation from the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering Visits MUST for Exchanges on Engineering and Academic Topics

On January 21, 2026, delegation from the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (CSEE) visited Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) and engaged in exchange activities with representatives of the Faculty of Innovation Engineering, with the aim of enhancing mutual understanding of each other’s development and related research areas.

Members of the CSEE delegation includes Vice President Chen Mei, Deputy Secretary-General Zhao Jianjun, Director of the General Affairs Department Ji Fei, former Director of the Academic Affairs Department Zhou Ying, and Assistant Director of the International Department Liu Min. Representatives from MUST includes Dean of Faculty of Innovation Engineering; Professor Li Xiaodong along with Dr. Sun Chuan and Dr. Sun Xuejing, Assistant Professors from the Department of Engineering Science.

During the visit, the delegation first toured the MUST History and Achievements Exhibition Hall, gaining an overview of the University’s development, educational direction, and key achievements in recent years. The delegation then proceeded to visit the State Key Laboratory of Mechanism and Quality of Chinese Medicine, where they were introduced to the laboratory’s research focus and related scientific work.

This was followed by a discussion session between representatives of both sides. Exchanges of views were held on topics including trends in engineering technology development and forms of academic research exchange, with discussions also covering the current state of development in related fields. The visit and exchanges helped both sides to further understand each other’s research priorities and development directions, providing additional insights and reference for possible forms of future exchanges.
