The Joint Research Center for Frontier Technologies in Intelligent Aviation Simulation (FTIAS) is a strategic partnership between the Faculty of Innovation Engineering at the Macau University of Science and Technology and China Southern Airlines. By synergizing industry expertise with academic excellence, the Center is dedicated to accelerating the technology transfer and real-world deployment of advanced aviation simulation research.
The Center’s core research framework encompasses: AI-driven flight data analytics and automated pilot proficiency assessment; Multimodal sensory monitoring of pilot physiological and cognitive states; AI-powered personalized training feedback and intelligent decision support; High-fidelity 3D content generation and standardized encapsulation for immersive training; Multimodal vision-based perception (pose estimation, gesture recognition, and eye-tracking) and cognitive load modeling; Large Language Model (LLM)-based AI assessment agents integrated with industry-specific knowledge bases.
