FDM 3D Printers in the Free Creation Zone

Introduction:

The Comprehensive Laboratory of Engineering Science, located in ITC-52 of the MUST LIU’S Innovation and Technology Center, is a comprehensive practical space that combines engineering education with student innovation project development. The laboratory is primarily divided into two functional areas: the Teaching Zone and the Free Creation Zone. The Teaching Zone is equipped with various basic machining tools and standard components, providing complete hardware support for course experiments. The Free Creation Zone features multiple FDM 3D printers, a small laser cutter, bench drills, jigsaws, and other fabrication equipment, along with a full set of handheld power tools and various electronic development boards for student projects. The laboratory's spatial design emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, enabling students and faculty from diverse academic backgrounds to exchange ideas, share knowledge, and combine their skills to create more innovative design solutions. This space not only provides advanced equipment resources but also fosters a creative environment that stimulates innovative thinking, making it a dynamic platform for hands-on innovation.

Major equipments:

16 FDM 3D printers, small laser cutter, metalworking and woodworking tools including bench drills and jigsaws, complete handheld power tool sets, ROS robot kits, Raspberry Pi boards, and visual recognition modules.

Supports the Following Courses:
