On the morning of July 4, 2024, Wu Lei, Party Secretary, Dean Wen Huanyao and Vice Dean Li Bing of School of Mathematics at South China University of Technology, led a group of students from the Strong Foundation Class to visit Macau University of Science and Technology. They were warmly received by Professor Ma Chao, Coordinator of the General Education Mathematics Program and Associate Professor Xiao Xuanxuan, Assistant Director of the Macau Center for Mathematical Sciences, of Faculty of Innovation Engineering at Macau University of Science and Technology.
Party Secretary Wu Lei and Dean Wen Huanyao expressed gratitude for the warm reception from Macau University of Science and Technology. They introduced the basic situation of the School of Mathematics at South China University of Technology and shared the school's experiences in teaching and research.
Academic exchange
Professor Ma Chao first introduced the basic information of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) and the progress of international cooperation, and then introduced the history and development of the Faculty of Innovation Engineering as well as the latest measures in interdisciplinary integration and innovation. Associate Professor Xiao Xuanxuan provided an overview of the programs offered by School of Computer Science and Engineering, Faculty of Innovative Engineering, including the Master in Applied Mathematics and Data Science, and the Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics.
Subsequently, two parties engaged in friendly discussions and expressed their intentions to collaborate in academic and research exchanges. The students from the Strong Foundation Class of South China University of Technology also actively participated in the discussion and expressed a strong desire to come to Macau University of Science and Technology for exchange and study.
