Introduction:
Makerspace consists of the Comprehensive Laboratory of Engineering Science and the Maker Space, which provides 3D printers, metal and woodworking tools, mechatronic modules, etc. The Makerspace provides an open, shared, interdisciplinary collaboration and inspiring environment for teachers and students. The teachers and students can realize their creative ideas and make their own projects in the Makerspace.

Location:
ITC-52 (Comprehensive Laboratory of Engineering Science) and ITC-42 (Maker Space), MUST LIU’s Innovation and Technology Center

Major equipments:
Metal and woodworking tools, electronic tools, laser cutter, 3D printers (light-curing), 5-axis CNC, mechatronic modules

Description:
The Makerspace is a place that inspires creativity and innovative thinking. Here, teachers and students can freely explore various technologies and processes, including using 3D printers to make product prototypes, hand-making with metal and woodworking tools, application of mechatronic modules, etc., to turn their creative ideas into reality. The Makerspace focuses on promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. Teachers and students coming from different disciplinary backgrounds can collaborate, share their knowledge and skills, and produce innovative designs. The makerspace is not only a collection of equipment and tools, but also a place that stimulates thinking and creativity. A creative atmosphere is created here, with different examples and project displays, to stimulate creative thinking and inspiration.
